Cayó como un trueno la muerte de la cantante Whitney Houston.

A los 48 años de edad, fue encontrada muerta en un cuarto de un hotel en Beverly Hills. Al momento de escribir ésto, no se conocen las causas.

Su voz era un instrumento del que uno solo puede maravillarse.

Aparentemente, muchos, muchos otros sintieron lo mismo, porque ella vendió más o menos 170 millones de discos grabados y videos.

Whitney Houston ganó virtualmente todos los premios disponibles: ganó un montón de Grammys.

Pero lo más importante fue su música: canciones de amor, canciones pop, baladas y muchas canciones que maravillan y encantan.

Canciones como, "Te Amaré Siempre", "Quiero Bailar con Alguien", "Guardo Todo mi Amor para Tí", "Corro Hacia Tí", "Tú me Das Buén Amor" --y muchas, muchas más.

Su voz, su ritmo, el estilo de su fraseo, su presencia en el escenario y su belleza fueron la realidad que siempre define a una Estrella. En verdad, ella fue una de esas raras criaturas: una Super Estrella.

Irónicamente, los mismos medios de comunicación que por muchos años la atacaron salvajemente, cambiaron; y difundieron la noticia en un tono de alabanzas cuando ella había muerto y ya no los podía escuchar.

Whitney Houston fue hija, esposa, madre y actriz. Sus canciones serán escuchadas, cantadas y muy queridas por generaciones.

The death of songbird Whitney Houston, hit like a thunderclap.

At the age of 48, she was found dead in a Beverly Hills hotel room, as of this writing, cause unknown.

Her voice was an instrument of which one can only marvel.

Apparently, many, many others felt likewise, for she sold an estimated 170 million records and videos.

She won virtually every award available: Grammys, it seemed. by the double.

But more important was her music: love songs, pop songs, ballads and show tunes that dazzled and delighted.

Like "I Will Always Love You", "I Wanna Dance With Somebody", "Savin' All My Love For You", "Run to You", "You Give Good Love"--and many, many more.

Her voice, her pace, her phrasing, her stage presence and her beauty was a package that virtually defined Star. Indeed, she was that rarest of creatures: Superstar.

Ironically,. the very media that savaged her for years, flipped into worship mode, when she was gone and could no longer hear them.

Whitney Houston was a daughter, wife, mothere and actress. Her songs will be heard, sung and loved for generations.
